Ayano: Hi everyone! I just want to say a little bit about the matching up event. We are really sorry about our lateness here. We are working hard on it and it's take a much time to match up. I know you can't wait for the note but please be patient. We will send it as soon as possible. Anyways, Happy Thanksgiving ^^//

Kano: Hi everyone! Now it's time to start the well expected annual Mekakushi Dan Secret Santa - 2014! Apologies for being slightly late, but I bet that all of you nice people could manage..?

Momo: What!? I thought you posted this already, Kano! We all told you a week ago that you were in charge of it!

Kido: Idiot! Better late than never, I suppose. Now listen up! This year will be slightly different than last year's Secret Santa! It will still be very traditional, so no worries. Shintaro will first explain what a Secret Santa is for those of you who don't know.

Shintaro: Right! So... a Secret Santa is a Christmas tradition... mostly popular in the western hemisphere of the world! All entrants will be randomly matched up and then give that person a gift! Everyone makes a wishlist of what they want for the event, and anyone who signs up will be given something off of their gift. In return, you must give a gift to another person, though not necessarily the person giving you a gift. You must keep your partner a secret at all costs, you see... it's a 'secret' Santa, and you don't want to ruin the fun.

This is what you must comment in this journal to enter the Secret Santa!

1. What category do you wish to receive your gift from? (Digital? Traditional? Literature? Other (Photography, etc.)
2. What can you personally make for another person? (What media do you work from?)
3. [Link to your journal wishlist! Please send it to the group folder as well!
4. Would you volunteer for any dropouts?
5. Do you have any questions regarding Secret Santa or the wishlist?

As for the journal wishlist itself, please write in the journal something like,

Hi Secret Santa! Can you please draw my OC [OC reference link] doing [blank]? I really appreciate it, thanks!
or
Dear Secret Santa, I'd really love it if you could write a short story about my OC [OC reference link], (s)he's [insert general overview of OC's life story]. I'd like a [romantic/action/drama/etc] story!
etc.

For any clarifying questions, this community is buzzing with other deviants who have participated in Secret Santas in the past! Due to the Mekakucity Actors anime, there are more KagePro fans to participate with us this year! Welcome all newcomers, please...

Takane: Oh, and by the way! Just like last year, we will let you participate even if you aren't a member of this group! You don't have to be affiliated with KagePro at all, really. Just be excited for the holidays. It is the happiest time of year! Despite the cold weather in most places, Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year's, Thanksgiving, etc. are all times you can spend with your family, friends, and loved ones. Don't miss your chance to see people you don't, normally. (From now until January, Takane and Haruka will be taking the place of Ene and Konoha/Kuroha in the journals.)

Haruka: Ah, I hope we can spend this snowy season together this year, Takane! Let's run over the rules for the members, and then go have hot cocoa!

- Do not use any bases or trace for your entry. It must be original.
- Do not delete your wishlist journal, at least until the end of the event.
- Finish you gift withing the time given, and submit during that time too! Don't submit sooner or later than the designated time! If there's issues, - note us! We know that sometimes you have planes to catch and faraway places to go so you can spend the holidays with your loved ones.
- This year, you will seriously be set up by your skill in different categories rather than random like last time.This way, you'll be gifted by someone of close artistic level as you and hopefully, it will be a fair deal!
- Don't reveal your partner under any circumstance! If you need to ask clarifying questions, please note us and we'll ask for you so you won't - have to reveal your identity, Santa!

Mary: Oh, sounds like so much fun! When does it start? I want to make sure I have enough time to make my gift!

Seto: Of course, Mary. Please pay attention to the following dates!

November 20 - November 30: Sign-ups for the Secret Santa & Wishlist-making!

November 30 - December 3: You will be matched up with you partners. We will try to send out notes as fast as we can! You may also register during this time as a late-registration, you just won't be guaranteed a partner of equal artistic measure. (On the other hand, you aren't guaranteed a partner of completely unequal artistic measure either.)

December 3 - December 23: Working period! Be sure to finish during this time, because if you don't submit your gift, you'll owe us some work. Seriously. We'll make you work, and with more effort than it would have taken just to finish the gift on time. If something unexpected happened, no need to worry. We're understanding people, okay?

December 23 - January 1: Submission period! Don't submit you gifts beforehand!

Hibiya & Hiyori: Be sure to follow the rules and have a safe and happy Christmas. Whether you're traveling across the world for Christmas or just hanging around the house with your immediate family, make your Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanza/Thanksgiving/anything else count! Even if you don't enter our Secret Santa, please have happy holidays.
